Virginia Elizabeth Baskerville Jackson, age 93, of Abingdon, Maryland, passed away on March 30, 2017 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, Maryland. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the youngest of four children, to Walter Lewis and Georgia Rebecca (Turner) Baskerville. She graduated from Cortez Peters Business School in Baltimore and began her working career at the Navy Yard in Washington, DC as a secretary. She later retired from the State of Maryland Department of Personnel, Social Services Branch after 35 years of faithful service to the citizens of Maryland. She also worked for 8 years as a Walmart Greeter in Abingdon, Maryland.
Ms. Jackson is survived by her children, Delores E. Biggs of Abingdon and Kevin T. Jackson of Baltimore, Maryland; grandchildren Tracey Biggs and Karl Biggs (Nickal); great grandchildren Sydney Biggs and Darrius Biggs and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Courtney L. Jackson, her siblings, Bernice Pennington Baskerville Burnside, Louise Turner Baskerville Pierce and Walter Lewis Baskerville, Jr.; son-in-law Morsie Biggs; and the late Theodore R. Jackson, to whom she was previously married.
