Virginia Christian Ulm Mason

Virginia Christian Ulm Mason, age 87, of Lutherville Timonium, MD passed away on May 27, 2017 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, MD. Born in Andalusia, PA, she was the daughter of James J. and Rosella (Brady) Christian. She was a member and past president of the Glen Arm Garden Club and a former member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Hydes, MD. She was an avid golfer at Towson Golf and Country Club and once achieved a hole in one for which she received national recognition! She was an amazing cook who loved to garden. She also enjoyed needlework, painting and playing the piano and had served as a volunteer at Harford County Public Library. She and her husband lived in Bel Air and in Naples, FL.

Mrs. Mason is survived by her husband of 12 years, Ronald L. Mason Sr.; two daughters, Susan U. Burdette and husband, Stephen, of Bel Air and Ellen U. Deugwillo and husband, Phil, of Baldwin and grandchildren Bradford and Alexander Burdette, Allison and Christine Deugwillo; stepchildren, Ronald L. Mason Jr., Nancy Fiamingo, Ruth Hmelnicky, Thomas E. Mason and Michele M. Connor; siblings, Norman Christian and Sister Joan Christian both of Riverside, NJ and Sally Drummond of Delanco, NJ; 11 step-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, R. Melvin Ulm in 2002, and her siblings, James Christian Jr., John Christian, William Christian, Robert Christian, Marie Yoka, Patricia Christian and Rosemary Mulligan.
