Virgie Marie Shunk

Virgie Marie Shunk, age 75, of Laurel, MD, died on August 28, 2009 at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD. Born in Canebrake, WV, she was the daughter of the late George Emmitt and Margie Lee Lockhart Wilson and wife of the late Carl Harry Shunk Jr. A Harford County resident for 37 years, she had worked for Bel Air Convalescent Center for 15 years. She attended Laurel Living Hope Church of God and loved her dog Tiny.

Mrs. Shunk is survived by her sons, Joseph Hugh Maxfield of Clintwood, VA, William Allen Maxfield of Sykesville, MD and Carl Harry Shunk III of Edgewood, MD; daughters, Brenda Carol Weller of Laurel, MD and Mary Lee Clark of McDaniels, KY; brothers, Maynard Franklin Wilson of Kents Store, VA and Avery Lee Wilson of Radford, VA; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
