Violet M. Flynn

Violet M. Flynn, age 100, of Abingdon, MD, died on April 9, 2011 at her home. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Francis and Margaret Violet Lazier Davidson and wife of the late John T. Flynn Sr.

Violet was devoted to her family. She lived a life of love and service to others and cultivated friendships with people of all ages throughout her life.

Mrs. Flynn is survived by her son, John T. Flynn Jr. of Abingdon, MD; daughter, Joan Kathleen Jones of Abingdon, MD; grandchildren, Donna Katz of Florida, Tim Gordon of Westminster, MD, Mark Gordon of Ellicott City, MD and Jennifer Oxenham of Utah; and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sons, Brian M. and Norton D. Flynn, daughter Margaret V. Oxenham and grandchildren, Michael and Fred Flynn.
