VIOLET GERTRUDE WILSON, age 99, of Bel Air, MD, formerly of Baltimore City, died on February 20, 2006 at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation Center where she had been a resident for seven years. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Thadeus and Alice Mary Wilson Craft, and the wife of the late Frederick Charles Wilson, Sr. She worked at the May Company Store for over 25 years, which later became the Hecht Company, in Baltimore City at Howard and Lexington Streets. She loved gardening, shopping, baking, and cooking.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by two daughters-in-law, Nancy Wilson Sabatino of Bel Air, MD and Bette Wilson of Overlea, MD; six grandchildren, Mark C. Wilson of Fallston, MD, Brett Wilson of Kingsville, MD, Lorrie Hendricks of Forest Hill, MD, Robin Roloson of Rising Sun, MD, Kimberlee Brown of Rising Sun, MD, and Ray Elmore of Overlea, MD; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a niece, Joy Schneider of Bel Air, MD; and a nephew, George Diacont of Gambrills, MD.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sons, Frederick C. Wilson, Jr., Louis O. Wilson and Richard C. Wilson; and one daughter, Alice M. Elmore.
