Violet Doris Mcdaniel

Violet Doris McDaniel, age 90, of Forest Hill, MD passed away on November 10, 2019 at Nichols Senior Care in Edgewood, MD. Born in Joppa, MD, she was the daughter of the late Coleman and Lucy (Simms) Keithley and wife of the late Damon Russell McDaniel. She worked as a Communication Manager for AAA for 46 years. She volunteered at the Senior Center in Bel Air for many years, where she played bridge every Thursday and during tax season scheduled appointments. Violet picked up golfing after she retired and was an avid golfer into her 80’s at Ruggles Golf Course in Aberdeen. She loved to bowl duck pins prior to her retirement and loved her Gray Ghost.

Violet is survived by her daughter, Diana Paff (James) of Bel Air; sisters, Blanche Hutchins, Marie Coulter and Diana Buettner; granddaughters, Christy Barbalate, Kary Harrison and Jennifer Schadie; great-grandsons, Anthony Harrison and Orion Barbalate; and great-granddaughter, Lira Barbalate; and many loving nieces and nephews.
