Vincent Pietro D’Anna III, 69, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family following a long battle with Parkinson’s. He was the loving husband of Sandra D’Anna whom he shared 37 years of marriage. Born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Vincent F. D’Anna Jr. and the late Dorothy “June” D’Anna of Joppa, Maryland. Brother of the late Angelo D’Anna and his surviving wife Denise; and Brother of the late Brenda Legge and her surviving husband Jim. Vince was an avid Farmall and Ford antique tractor collector, gun collector, skier, and loved to take his Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle for a ride. He was an accomplished trumpet player. He was proud to be a part of the Edgewood High School Jazz Ensemble and the All-State Band. Most of all he loved people, especially his friends and his family, he always wanted to make everyone feel like apart of the family whether eating a meal together for a celebration or cookout, he loved life.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his 8 children whom he was very proud of- Christopher D’Anna and his husband Joseph; Vincent “Vincie” D’Anna IV and his wife Katie; Ashley Almony and her husband Alan; Melissa Steele and her husband Kyle; Nina Feveryear and her husband Daniel; Laura Bochinski and her husband Brian; Angelo D’Anna and his girlfriend Meghann; and Katie Frick and her husband Mark. He was also a loving Poppy to his 17 grandchildren that brought him so much joy- Jordan, Justin, Beau, Vinny, Noah, Violet, Grayson, Lincoln, Lucy, Adalynn, Kenna, Everly, Caroline, Sawyer, Holly, Jacob and James.
There will be a viewing from 5-8pm Sunday May 22nd at McComas Funeral Home, P.A., 1317 Cokesbury Road, Abingdon. There will be a funeral service at 11am on Monday May 23rd at the funeral home. Interment following the funeral service will be at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens, 5598 Trumps Mill Road, Baltimore.
