Vincent K. Younger, of Forest Hill, passed away January 9, 2010. He was 92. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Howard I. and Alvina R. Younger. He graduated from the University of Baltimore. He retired, after 35 years, from Aberdeen Proving Ground, where he was an Industrial Engineer. Mr. Younger was in World War II and the Korean War. He retired as a Captain from the U.S. Army Reserves. He was active in the American Legion where he was a member for over 60 years. After retirement, he became very involved in H&R Block and worked for more than 25 years. He enjoyed collecting coins, stamps, and loved gardening.
Mr. Younger is survived by his wife of 69 years, Elizabeth B. Younger; a son, V. Kenneth Younger II and his wife, Patricia A., of Bel Air; three grandchildren, Christopher K. and his wife, Jane B., of Bel Air, Aaron R. of Bel Air, and Shaun E. and his wife, Tolly I., of Wilmington, DE; and five great-grandchildren, Jessica B., Amy M., C. Cole; Jakob L. and Phoebe E., all of Bel Air; and a sister, Frances A. Johnson of Baltimore. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, C. Raymond and Howard J. Younger.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Younger II, Christopher Younger, Shaun Younger, and Aaron Younger.
