Viirginia Clark Letowt

October 28, 1908 — November 27, 2003

VIRGINIA CLARK LeTOWT, age 94 of Bel Air, died in Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Belcamp, MD on November 27, 2003. Born on November 28, 1908 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John Howard and Lottie May Angstadt Clark, and the wife for 54 years of the late Zigmont J. LeTowt, Jr. She attended the Katherine Gibbs School in New York and worked in the banking business in her early career.

She was a lifetime resident of Bethlehem, P A where she and her husband raised their four children. She moved to Bel Air, MD in 2001.

She leaves four children: Z. Jody LeTowt, III of Pebble Beach, CA; Susan L. Peverley of Bel Air, MD; Frances von Bonin of Dusseldorf, Germany; and Jon H. LeTowt and wife, Gretchen of St. Michaels, MD. In addition, she had 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a cousin, Jean Angstadt Zellers of Allentown, P A. She was predeceased by a grandson, Jonathan Dunham Peverley.

Mrs. LeTowt was in the antique business in the Lehigh Valley for 30 years operating "Antiques Unlimited". She also worked at the Bethlehem Public Library for many years.

Mrs. LeTowt was a guide at the Kemmerer Museum in Bethlehem, P A, a volunteer at the Allentown Art Museum and a member of the Metropolitan Art Museum. She was a member of the Christ Church United Church of Christ in Bethlehem.

Known as "Muzie" to friends and family, she was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and needlepoint.
