Victor Morton Reitz

November 14, 1931 — January 12, 2005

VICTOR MORTON REITZ, age 74, of Bel Air died at his home on January 12, 2005. Born in Delta, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Victor Foltz and Dorothy Mae Morton Reitz. A resident of Harford County for 50 years, he had been a science teacher for 28 years having taught at Havre de Grace Middle and High Schools. He served in the Army. He was a member of the American Legion, the Maryland State Teachers Association, and the Harford County Teachers Association. He collected antiques and enjoyed lapidary work and making jewelry by polishing rocks.

Mr. Reitz is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen S. Sechrist Reitz; a sister, Joan Applie and her husband, Charles of Ohio; nephews, Mark H. Sherman and his wife, Sharon, of Pasadena, Maryland and Steven E. Sherman and his wife, Charlene, of Sylvania of Ohio; a niece, Jennifer S. Sherman of Niles, Ohio; and long time friends, Elaine Kirkpatrick of Columbia, Maryland and Donald Herndon of Port Charlotte, Florida.

Pallbearers will be: Gerald Testerman, James Rhinehart, Mark Sherman, Steve Sherman, Donald Wrede, Carroll Grove, and Donald Herndon.
