VERNA EPARD, age 91, of Bel Air, MD, died on April 22, 2007, at Forest Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center, Forest Hill, MD. Born in Proctor, NC, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Cornelius and Fannie Magnolia Woody Callahan and the wife of the late Kyle B. Epard. She was a homemaker who resided in Harford County since 1951, living most of her life in Joppa, MD. She was a past member of Maple View Baptist Church. She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church for 48 years where she was very active in many church activities. She was also an active member of the Keenagers Senior group in Bel Air, MD. A real people person, she loved to write cards to friends and family.
Mrs. Epard is survived by one son, Roger B. Epard and his wife Kay of Fallston, MD; two brothers, Carl Callahan of Lake Toxaway, NC, and Clyde Callahan of Six Mile, SC; and three sisters, Glyda Galloway of Albany, OR, Gaynell Fisher of Pickens, SC, and Marylee Hall of Sylva, NC., also survived by Joyce and Vester Harris of Bel Air with whom she resided.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Union Chapel United Methodist Church, 1012 Old Joppa Rd., Joppa, MD 21085.
