Vera L. Carroll, age 86, of Bel Air, MD, died on April 6, 2010 at home. She was the daughter of the late Albert Ray Musselman and Arlene Gertrude Weaver Musselman, and wife of the late Walter Earl Carroll.
She was a devoted mother and friend to many people. She went to Peabody; taught piano and organ for over 40 years. She was the director of The Carrolleers (a men's chorus) at Epiphany Lutheran Church. Vera was a member of the Harford County Piano Teacher's Association and a charter member of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She was a past member and accompanist for the Harford Choral Society; past member and past Dean of AGO; AGEHR. Vera was an organist/choir director for many years at Grace Methodist Church in Aberdeen and St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bel Air. She also has sold Schulmerick handbells and directed several handbell choirs in the county, and worked on the Harford County School Concert Committee for many years. In the past ten years, she has been a substitute organist in many churches in Harford and Baltimore County.
She is survived by two daughters; Terry Deane Stancill and Holly Alison Stanford; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons; Brian R. Carroll and Kevin D. Carroll.
