Velma F. Jackson, age 92, of Bel Air, MD passed away on June 1, 2017 at her home. Born in Old Fields, NC, she was the daughter of Robert Bryan and Chana Pearl (Wagner) Wall and was the wife of the late Elmer Clair Jackson. She graduated from Bel Air High School in 1941 and had worked at the Harford County Library for 25 years. She had volunteered with the States Attorney's Office since 1987 and also assisted with the Office of Human Relations and Weatherization. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church since 1951 and was active with their Senior Adult Group as well as volunteering in the Clothes Closet. She also attended Great Hope Bible Church, where she was active in their Senior Group and the Christian Seniors Group of Havre de Grace. She enjoyed traveling with her husband though all 50 states, and cross country to Canada, Mexico, Caribbean and Bermuda, and made five trips to Hawaii. She was voted one of Harford's Most Beautiful People, enjoyed needlework, and until recently when she could no longer write, she sent cards to the sick people that could no longer get up and out.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughter, Jeannette J. Rexroth and husband, Wayne K. Rexroth, Sr. of Bel Air; grandchildren, Randy Rexroth of Belcamp, Debbie and Jason Underwood of Joppa, Stephen Rexroth of Bel Air; and great grandchildren, Duane Rexroth, Justin Underwood and Taylor Rexroth.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mac and Elizabeth Wall.
