Valerie Dianna Townes

Valerie Dianna Townes, of Abingdon, MD, died at the age of 57 on December 7, 2016 at her home. She was born in Baltimore, MD to Anna Elizabeth (Stell) Cann of Bel Air and the late Raymond Freeman Cann. Val was a Rose Circle and Executive Unit Leader for Avon before she became sick. She was a beacon of light to all she mentored. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and making all kinds of crafts.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, William Townes Jr.; her sons, William C. Townes III and Sean M. Townes Sr.; her siblings, Dr. Linda Gorham, Sabrina Thomas, Trenita Harper, Lee Jones and Allen Jones; her grandchildren, Devron Townes, Alaurra Townes, Sean Townes Jr. and Willow Townes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
