Valeria M. Cornwell

Valeria M. Cornwell, age 66, of North East, Maryland passed away on January 16, 2023 at Christiana Health System in Newark, Delaware. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of William Smith Jr. and Bertha (Klingel) Smith, and wife of the late Seldon A. Cornwell. Valeria loved spending time with loved ones and would sing everywhere and anywhere she possibly could.

Valeria is survived by her daughter, Veronica Jean LaFrancis; two sons, Seldon "Jake" (Dana) Cornwell and John-Thomas Cornwell; brother, William; sister, Helen; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alesha, James, Hailee, Isabelle, Maximus and Jacob; great-grandchild, Luka.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Diane, Pauline, Bernadine, Barbara and Ann-Marie.

Visitation will be held under the caring guidance of the family owned and operated McComas Family Funeral Home, Abingdon, Maryland on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 1-2 pm followed by a service at 2 pm.
