Vada Marie Eller, age 88, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away peacefully at her home with her daughter by her side on March 18, 2022. Born on January 26, 1934 in Jacox, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Manus and Gertrude (Kellison) Long and wife of the late Herbert Eller.
As a widow, Vada worked hard to keep her home and raise her daughter as a single mom. Vada retired from Westinghouse in 1992 after 21 ½ years of service. She enjoyed life, as well as cookies and chocolate ice cream that she indulged in breakfast, lunch or dinner. Vada enjoyed gardening especially Irises, flower arranging, crafts and sewing. Most of all Vada loved spending time with her family. Vada was an animal lover having many dogs and cats over her lifetime. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church and Mountain Christian Church.
Vada is survived by her daughter, Vonda K. Eller of Bel Air, Maryland; sister, Dorothy (Frank) Stifler of Timberville, Virginia; brother, James (Karen) Long of Greenwood, Delaware; niece Cindy (Brian) Porter; nephews Mitchell (Joyce) Stifler and Daniel (Lori) Long; and many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Francis Long, father, Manus Long and husband, Herbert H. Eller.
Paster Bob Bullis will be officiating the service, pallbearers will be Mitchell Stifler, Joshua Stifler, Heather Schultz, Nicole Kosmos, Paul Schultz and Matthew Klingenstein.
A Celebration of Life will be held after the services at 1 pm at the Bel Air Moose Lodge, 1952 310 E Jarrettsville Road, Forest Hill, MD.
