Vada Berniece Locklear

Vada Berniece Locklear, age 77, of Bear, DE passed away on July 27, 2017 at Christiana Health System in Newark, DE. Born in Jefferson, NC, she was the daughter of John Henry and Myrtle Clyde (Miller) Pierce and was the wife of the late Bill E. Locklear. She was a school teacher who enjoyed poetry and loved spending time with her family, including eleven brothers and sisters and her many nieces and nephews. She was like a grandma to most everyone who knew her.

Mrs. Locklear is survived by her son, Timothy E. Locklear (wife Shannon) of Bear, DE; daughter, Debra Ann Loux of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Natalie E. Loux of Baltimore and Adam L. Loux of Towson; and siblings, Judge Pierce of Reidsville, NC, Vel Pierce of West Jefferson, NC, Archie Pierce of West Jefferson, NC, Howard Pierce of Fleetwood, NC, Avis Graybeal of Charlotte, NC, Zane Pierce of Abingdon, VA, and Larry Pierce of Reidsville, NC.
