Uria A. Huffman

Sunday, May 31, 2015 Uria Audrey Huffman passed away at the age of 100 years plus five months, at the Woodlands Assisted Living Community in Middle River, MD. Born December 10, 1914 in Calgary, Canada, he was the son of the late Joseph Emory and Viola Kincaid Huffman.

Mr. Huffman was a retired coal miner inspector in Raleigh County, WV area for many years. He moved to Baltimore after World War II where he worked for General Motors and retired from there to become a Fruit Farmer in Abingdon, MD for many years (Van Bibber Area).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Huffman, RN who retired from Franklin Square Hospital, and a daughter, Audrey McKinney Goins of Beckley, WV. Also, three brothers, Carl, Avery, Pascal and three sisters Madge Stanley, Dana Craddock both of Beckley, WV and Vivalore Billings of Florida.

He had many nieces and nephews plus grandchildren from his stepchildren Katie and husband Jesse of Essex, MD and stepson Danny McKinney of LaPlata, MD.
