TUCKER CARR (Thomas Henderson Carr II), long time Darlington entrepreneur, died Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. He was 35.
Our beloved Tucker is survived by his only son, Boomer Carr (Thomas John) of Darlington; parents Thomas Carr of Alexandria, VA, and Georgette Mester, of Darlington, and their spouses Jodi Carr and Jack Mester; grandparents John and Jane Conlisk, of Darlington, and Winfield and Joan Carr, of Port Deposit; his sister Bethanie Carr, of Houston, TX; step-siblings Jenny Carreiro, of Bristol, VA and Andrew Mester, of New York, NY; his aunt and godmother, Mary Jane Cook of Darlington; aunts Beth Conlisk, and Mary Stuart both of South Deerfield, MA, and Amy Conlisk, of Darlington; uncle and godfather John Conlisk, Jr., of Chicago, IL; uncles Pat Conlisk, of Mariposa, CA, Lee Cook of Darlington, William Carr, of Vancouver, Canada, and Donald Carr, of Bel Air; his former wife, Jennifer Black of Darlington; numerous cousins, and many, many lifetime friends who will forever be family to Tucker. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Agnes Carr and his Mom Mom, Okie Henderson.
Tucker’s life was full of love for his family and friends, laughter, sports and spontaneity. Above all, he understood the importance of unconditional love and the support of family, a value he learned from his idol, John Conlisk and shared with everyone he knew. He had a story for every occasion, and a come back for every joke. The loss of his humor and love leaves a hole in every heart who loved him and every life he touched. A man of many talents and interests, Tucker had friends from all walks of life, each adding to his unique personality. His generosity to those around him had no bounds and he lived life to the fullest.
