Troy Lee Boone

Troy Lee Boone, 85, of Joppa, MD, passed away on July 10, 2016 at his home. Born in Winters, TX he was the son of the late Ray Hubbard and Olive (Newby) Boone, and the late husband of Mary Elizabeth Boone. He was a native of Texas and lived there for most of his life. Affectionately known as "Boopa" by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he loved the outdoors as shown by his favorite job as a Professional Boy Scout Executive. His hobbies were gardening, playing music and singing on his guitar and banjo and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammie Lin Bortner of Joppa, MD; seven grandchildren, Aimee Winner, Brittany Boone, Jennifer Wagner, Adam Bortner, John Boone, Anna Burton, and Sara Bortner; and five great grandchildren, Raegan Wagner, Jonah Winner, Caleb Wagner, Kiera Burton, and Julia Winner. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, Terry Boone; brother, Earl Boone and sister, Ray Bendel.
