Tommy Lee Prater

TOMMY LEE PRATER, age 71, of Edgewood, MD, died on June 5, 2008 at his home. Born in Piedmont, AL, he was the son of the late Shannon Thompson and Mary Magnolia Prater Johnson. A resident of Harford County since 1979, he retired from the U.S. Army with over 20 years of service. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of the VFW Post #5838 in Joppatowne and the American Legion Post #17 in Edgewood.

Mr. Prater is survived by his wife, whom he married in 1969, Kyong Sun Prater of Edgewood, MD; a son, Jerry Prater of Arkansas; five brothers, George Johnson, Donnie Thompson, Frank Thompson, James Thompson, and Randall Thompson, all of Piedmont, AL; nine sisters, Johnnie M. Ball of Atlanta, GA, Bertha Sherrill of Piedmont, AL, Earlese Culberson of Rome, GA, Brenda Lawler, Vicky Jackson, and Myra Cottrell, all of Piedmont, AL; Peggy Sue Abbot of Rome, GA, Judy Thompson and Alicia Diamond of Piedmont, AL; and many nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives.
