Underlying all the ideals he held dear – foremost among them strong faith, family first, love of country, generosity, concern for his fellow man – Tom W. Freeman, 62 of Forest Hill, Maryland went to glory on June 16, 2015.
Tom, a naval historical artist was known in artistic circles for his stunning use of watercolors and detail to accuracy. He was not formally trained in the arts but claimed he was blessed with "a God-given-gift". His artwork is exhibited across the globe with his most proud pieces in the White House, the United States Naval Academy, the Pearl Harbor Memorial, and the Vatican Collection.
Tom also served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and U.S. Army active duty.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Freeman, and their five children, Travis Freeman, Stacie Surowiec, Shane Freeman, Emma Nuese, Bennett Freeman and 13 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain Christian Church-Cook Auditorium, 1824 Mountain Rd, Joppa, MD 21085.
