Thomas Richard Lister, 74, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Thomas was the beloved son of the late Emory and Constance (Di Carlo) Lister. He was a devoted husband to Theresa (Foertschbeck) Lister and a proud father, grandfather, and Marine veteran.

Thomas served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps and was incredibly proud of his time in service. His love for travel took him on many memorable journeys, with Italy being one of his favorite destinations, reflecting his deep connection to his family heritage and love of adventure.

He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa; his sons, Keith Thomas Lister and John Michael Lister; John’s companion, Jen Rakestraw; Keith's wife, Maggie Lister; and his cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Max, and Paige Lister, and Logan and Bella Rakestraw. He is also survived by his brother Jonathan Lister and his sisters Connie Bigos and Mary Ellen Kolbe. Thomas was predeceased by his niece, Ashley Bigos, who was close to his heart.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Thomas's memory may be made to Spinal Muscular Atrophy research curesma.org in honor of his niece, Ashley Bigos.
