THOMAS MONK (PICTURE)
THOMAS MONK, age 73, of Darlington, died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on October 25, 2005. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Frazier Lee and Chloe Alice Ferren Monk. He retired from Kefauver Lumber Company after 20 years of service where he was a truss engineer. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of VFW #10146 in Street and was a brilliant artist. Tommy greatly appreciated and loved all of his nieces and nephews and a special thanks to Peggy Thomas, his niece and caregiver.
Mr. Monk is survived by his wife of 41 years, Phyllis J. Monk; two daughters, Debra Pyle and her husband, Michael of North Grafton, MA and Teresa M. Tarlton and her husband, Michale of Red Lion, PA; a sister Mary Ann Bunker of Delta, PA; and three grandchildren, Michael Pyle of North Grafton, MA, Brett Tarlton of Red Lion, PA and Chole Tarlton of Red Lion, PA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Burns Monk, Robert Monk, and Marvin Dean Monk and two sisters, Shirley Edwards and Elizabeth Boyle.
Pallbearers will be: Dale Bunker, Barry Bunker, Michael A. Pyle, Kevin Farmer, Shane Farmer, and Clarence Fox. Honorary pallbearer will be Brett Tarlton.
