Thomas Mcbride Insley Sr.

Thomas McBride Insley Sr., age 82, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on August 23, 2014 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Santa Fe, NM, he was the son of the late Alice McBride Insley and Thomas Aaron Insley, and husband for 42 years of the late Nettie Elizabeth Stearn Insley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and for many years worked in carpentry and then retired as a welder from Aberdeen Proving Ground. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, playing pool and taking winter trips to Florida.

Mr. Insley is survived by his sons, Thomas M. Insley Jr. and wife, Linda, of Abingdon, Kenneth M. Insley and wife, Tammy, of Joppa and Kevin A. Insley and wife, Lisa, of Bel Air; daughter, Lorrie A. Hawks and husband, Gene, of NC; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and close friend, Mary Peterson of Aberdeen. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sisters, Jo and Pat Insley.
