Thomas Patrick Logan, 82, of Bel Air, Maryland, formerly of Ridley Park, PA passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tom was the son of the late John and Josephine (Meehan) Logan. He was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Prep, St. Joseph’s University, and the University of Pennsylvania where he earned his Doctorate in Chemistry. Tom went on to have a distinguished career serving as the Director of the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Lab and as a chemist for the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense, Edgewood Arsenal Aberdeen Proving Ground until his retirement.

Tom was a man deeply committed to his Catholic faith and service to others, dedicating many years volunteering through St. Margaret Catholic Church in Bel Air where he was a devoted parishioner for 36 years. He was a life-long learner who found happiness in reading, exercising, traveling, and baseball. Above all, Tom’s greatest joy in life was his family.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Elizabeth (Polischuk) Logan, his children; Thomas Logan (Regina), Matthew Logan, and Katherine Logan, his grandchildren; Kathleen Logan, Colleen (Christopher) Duffin, Elizabeth Logan, Thomas Logan, Patrick Logan, his great-grandson, Christopher Duffin, and brother, Joseph (Dolores) Logan. Tom was preceded in death by his brothers, James Logan and Rt. Rev. John Logan, O. Praem.

Tom will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
