THOMAS LEWIS RILEY III, age 58, formerly of Abingdon, died on May 31, 2007 in Lake Panasoffkee, Florida. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Catherine D. Riley of Towson, Maryland, and the late Thomas L. Riley Jr. An army veteran, he served our country from 1970-1972 during the Vietnam War. He attended Baltimore Poly Technical Institute and was retired from the Baltimore City Police Department. His family said he was a dog lover.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Riley is survived by his wife, Barbara Anne Temple Riley, of Florida; one sister, Elaine Mily and her husband, Edward, of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Bernard Riley and his wife, Colleen, of Arkansas, and Michael Riley and his wife Jane, of Towson, Maryland; nieces and nephews, David and Daniel Jamison, Edward Mily Jr., Brian and Beth Riley, Tim and Maggie Riley, all of Towson, Maryland; and dear friends, Karyn and Doug Thacker and Brooke, Nikki, Andrew, and Kalyn Thacker, all of Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Villages Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, Florida 32162.
