Thomas J. Mitchell

Thomas J. Mitchell, of Edgewood, MD, died at the age of 79 on October 4, 2016 at his home. He was born in Pottsville, PA to Benjamin Joseph and Mary Veronica (Daily) Mitchell and was the husband of the late Joan H. Mitchell. He was a veteran who served our country during the Korean War and was a retired Staff Sergeant from the 29th MP Company Maryland National Guard. He worked for 31 years at the Baltimore County Landfill and loved wood carving.

Survivors include his daughter, Michele Lingerman of Parkville; step-daughter, Earlene Atkins; grandchildren, Lisa Lingerman, Ricky Lingerman, Matthew Lingerman, Christina Pfarr; and great-grandchildren, Eric and Brianna Hunt. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers, Jack and James Mitchell; and his step-son, Robert Chavis.
