Thomas John Ganley, age 76, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on October 4, 2023, at Union Memorial Hospital. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Thomas and Florence (Schmidtman) Ganley. He was a proud graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, Class of 1964 and Maryland Institute of Art, School of Drafting Class of 1969. Thomas spent over 50 years working in the Machining Industry with a focus on Steel and Gear Manufacturing.
Thomas was a huge sports fan of the Baltimore Colts, Orioles, Ravens, and Maryland Terrapins. Thomas coached numerous Little League sports teams at Shrine of the Little Flower. Thomas loved the beach and going to Ocean City, Maryland with his family and friends every summer.
Thomas is survived by his sons, Thomas M. Ganley (Jillian), and Ryan J. Ganley; grandchildren, Madalene Wheeler, and Ellison Ganley; and sisters, Eileen Weller (O. Nelson), and Joan Stine and the late Charles Stine; and many beloved nieces, nephews and in-laws.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret E. Ganley.
