Thomas (Tom) F. Pahutski, Sr. (age 74) passed away on May 1, 2020 at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore MD. Tom was born on September 26, 1945 to Mildred and John Pahutski, Sr. of Mount Carmel, PA. He enlisted in the United States Air Force serving from 1963 to 1967 during which time he was stationed in Viet Nam and Thailand. Upon his discharge in 1967, Sergeant Pahutski attended Widener College in Chester, PA. obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1977. In 1969, he married Phyllis A. Hill of Clifton Heights, PA. who he was lovingly married to for fifty years. They have two sons Thomas F. Jr. and Andrew J. Pahutski.
Tom began his career in the Defense Aerospace Industry in 1978 as Cost Analysts and served the Defense community until his retirement in 2002. In 1983, he and his family relocated to Abingdon Md. where they joined the St. Francis de Sales family.
Phyllis and Tom very much enjoyed travelling the world together; in doing so building a lifetime of memories which culminated with a fiftieth wedding anniversary adventure to Alaska.
Tom and his wife were passionate about serving their community with a strong focus on charities for children and veterans. In 1990, he joined the Masonic Order, Mt Ararat Lodge No. 44 serving as a Trustee; 32nd Degree, Member of Scottish Rite, Valley of Baltimore 1992. In 1995, he served as Grand Tall Cedar of Har-Ce Forest No. 142; in 1995 and 1998 he served as Worthy Patron of Harford Chapter No. 83 O.E.S. Beyond his charitable endeavors with the Masonic Order he was dedicated to serving the Catholic Church. As a Fourth Degree Knight as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Maurice Wolfe Council No. 11372; he served the Outreach Program, providing food and medical needs to those less fortunate. He also enjoyed friend and fellowship at the St Francis Senior Club.
Tom is survived by his wife Phyllis, sons, Thomas (Barbara) of Elkton, MD and Andrew of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren Lauren, Jack, Ian, Ryan and Izabella and his brothers Leonard of Meza, AZ and John Jr. of Cave Junction, OR.
A memorial mass will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 10 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
