Thomas Edison Moffitt, age 92, of Forest Hill, MD passed away on January 15, 2012 at his home. Born in Daisytown, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas Edgar and Mary Delphia Kaylor Moffitt and husband, for 66 years, of the late Virginia M. Moffitt. He served three years in the U.S. Navy during WWII and worked 33 years for the U.S. Government, 30 of which were at Edgewood Arsenal as a manufacturing engineer. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, and years ago, camping with his family and friends. He was a member of the Masons in Lebanon, PA.
Mr. Moffitt is survived by his sons, Charles Edison Moffitt and Larry T. Moffitt of Forest Hill, MD, W. Ted Moffitt of Hampstead, MD; daughter, Nancy K. Lewis of Bel Air, MD; brother Frederick D. Moffitt of Essex, MD; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters.
