Thomas Dwain Sanders

Thomas (Tom) Dwain Sanders, age 58, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on February 14, 2021. Born in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Emmett Thomas Sanders and Betty Susan (Taylor) Shepherd. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He graduated in 1980 from Harford Tech High School. He owned and operated Monster's Pizza in Jacksonville, North Carolina for many years. He had a real passion for preparing food, gardening and making people around him happy. Thomas was bigger than life and lit up the room when he walked in.

Thomas is survived by his three sisters, Vicki Salvi, Betsy Hoskins, and Evette Sanders; two brothers, Richmond and Michael Sanders; step-father, Donald R. Shepherd; and several step-siblings, nieces, and friends.

Interment will take place in Crownsville Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, February 25, 2021.
