Thelma A. Stamper, age 92, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024. Thelma was born in Maryland to the late Earl and Hassie (Mink) Adams and was the beloved wife of the late Layton Stamper. Thelma's faith played a central role in her life and she was a member of Grace Community Church in Sparta, North Carolina. She was a Sunday School Teacher at Upper Cross Roads Baptist Church and at North Harford Baptist Church. She and her late husband were also youth group leaders
at North Harford Baptist Church. Thelma's love for nature was evident in her remarkable green thumb and fondness for flowers and gardening. Her artistic talents shone through her floral designs and she also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and painting. She
found joy in the intricate world of puzzles and was an avid reader.
Thelma is survived by her loving children, Teresa (Joseph) Mina, Timothy (Sandy) Stamper, Trudy Stamper and her special friend Robert Jacob, Tori (Jim) Piergrossi, Tracey (Robert Gegorek) Stamper. She leaves behind a legacy cherished by 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Thelma is also remembered fondly by her brothers, Robert Adams, Earl Adams, Allen Adams, and Phillip Adams.
In addition to her husband and parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Hensley, Geneva Mulligan, Estella Little, Senia Phillips, and brother, Wayne Adams.
