Forest Hill

Terry Lynn Jefferson, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away at the age of 65 on November 24,
2023. Born in Montana, raised in Bel Air, she was the daughter to the late Earl and Lillian
Hewitt, and wife of William “Jeff” Jefferson.

Terry was a nurse, working at many hospitals and schools throughout her career. True to her
nature as a caregiver, she was known as kind and generous and would give you the shirt off of
her back. Too many examples to include, but many know of her for community as well as
animals.  If you have visited Terry, you have seen the stray cats that she feeds and neuters.
She was also a member of the Slate Ridge Ladies’ Auxiliary, Post 182, loved America and
supported veterans in many ways.

Family and friends were everything to her, and you could always expect her to be the life of any
party or family gathering. Those who knew Terry would remember her favorite expressions such
as, “It eeez what it eeez” and “Life is all about choices”.  She will be dearly missed for the
honest and outgoing soul that she was.

Terry was also a competitive bowler and pool player, and made many friends in these sports
throughout the years. You could always count on Terry to be a straight shooter – both in pool
and in life! She never missed a nail appointment, and her nails were always a conversation
starter.

Terry and her husband Jeff, who were together many years, enjoyed many adventures and
travels together. Their trips were fearless, including cross-country road trips in their RV from Bel
Air to Alaska and back. Jeff will tell you that he was never worried about hiccups in their travels
and life, because Terry had the ability to find the solution and make a misadventure fun.

In addition to her husband, Terry is survived by her daughters, Jeannine and Nicole Hite;
granddaughter Samantha Hite, grandsons Raiden, Legend, and Triton Bateman; sisters
Stephanie (Doug) Hutcheson and Patty (Tim - predeceased) Amos. She is also survived by
many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Slate Ridge Ladies’ Auxiliary, Post 182
