Susan Holley Waldhauser, age 80, of Fallston, Maryland passed away on July 29, 2023, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in New York, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Claire (Allen) Pritcher and loving wife of George Waldhauser. An Esthetician and local business owner, Susan served the Bel Air community for 44 years. She was loved by her loyal clients, many of whom she considered her dear friends. She was determined to achieve her bachelor’s degree and after 20 years of evening classes, she graduated magna cum laude from Notre Dame of Maryland University in 2012.
Susan and George enjoyed dining out, exploring all the new restaurants in town, returning regularly to their favorites. She loved to travel near and far, honeymooning with George in Spain, annual football tailgating weekends at Penn State with her brother, New Year’s Eves with Susan, Truiett and Summer in Ohio, regular trips with George to see friends in Southern California and family in Northern California. Most recently she was joyfully running around the streets of NYC as her grandchildren performed and marched in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Susan lived in Fallston for 48 years. She loved to decorate and renovate the house where her children grew up, and she and George resided. With each improvement she took great pride in selecting the best quality to completely transform the house into her dream home. Her love and energy for her “tiny but mighty” family was boundless. She was a glowing woman who always looked her best; classy, kind, thoughtful, deeply caring and loved by many.
Susan was preceded in death by her sister Barbara (Charlie) Kelly and survived by her husband George; her brother Craig (Lisa) Pritcher; her sister Linda (Paul) Hoover; daughters, Holley (Steve) Wiedemann, and Heather (Victor) Vitale; son, Steve Potter; stepdaughter, Susan (Truiett) Hatton; grandchildren, Carmela Vitale and Luca Vitale; and step-grandchild, Summer Hatton.
A celebration of life will be held on August 24, 2023. In lieu of flowers please consider contributions to Johns Hopkins Pancreatic Research Center, https://pathology.jhu.edu/pancreas/donate, or St. Mary’s College of Maryland, her first alma mater where she would attend nearly every class reunion.
