SUSAN LUCILE MYERS, born on September 30, 1918 in Bel Air, Maryland, she died in Mesa, Arizona on April 4, 2003. She was the daughter of Jesse Carr and Susan Glenn Carr. Her father owned the largest mill in Bel Air and when he passed away the town named the road where the mill was located “Carrs Mill Road”. Lucile had a brother, Lee and a sister, Edith. She loved music and dancing. She even won a dance contest in 1936 dancing the “Charleston”.
Lucile married Ross W. Myers in June 1937. Her interests revolved around home and family. She enjoyed crocheting and made many beautiful tablecloths and afghans for her family. Lucile was blessed with three children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She is survived by daughter, Jean Benzing of Clarkston, Michigan; son Robert Myers and wife Madeline in West Palm Beach, Florida; and daughter Sharon Ehrman and husband Steve of Gilbert, Arizona. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Pam Benzing; Robert Benzing; Ron-Thomas Myers; Suzanne Myers; Jimmy Myers; Charlie Myers; Erin Peterson; and Aimee Peterson. Last but not least, she leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Myka McKinzie and Conner Patrick Myers, born April 6, 2003. “As one life passes on a new life enters the world”.
Her family and friends will miss her. We won’t say “Goodbye” but only “See you later”. Lucile has gone to her new home in the Kingdom of God. They feel certain she is dancing the “Charleston” again.
