Susan C. Goemmer

Susan C. Goemmer, age 73, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on January 10, 2025, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Susan was the daughter of Murrill and Jean (Ey) Harple.

Susan grew up attending Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church and later became a dedicated member of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, where she worshipped for 25 years. She was deeply involved in her faith communities, teaching Vacation Bible School and Sunday School for several years at both churches. She was also a cherished member of "Sharing the Gift," a program where she read to preschool children, sharing her love for stories and education.

Susan had a passion for flowers and gardening, loved cooking, and devoted herself to her family and church. Her kind and nurturing spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she touched.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, Stuart Goemmer; her two sons, Johnathan Goemmer and Evan (Ksara) Goemmer; her cherished grandchildren, Allie and Eli; her two sisters, Nancy (Andy) Murray and Linda (Rick) Lotman; as well as several nieces and nephews.
