Sue Blades

Sue Blades, age 87, of Churchville, MD, died on July 24, 2011 at Hart Heritage in Street, MD. Born in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Eckhart and Elsie Fergueson Zembower Meister, and wife of the late John G. Blades Sr. who passed away in 1999. A volunteer at Harford Memorial Hospital, she was a member of Calvary Methodist Church, as well as, United Methodist Women. She was very devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Blades is survived by her sons, John Gilbert Blades Jr. and wife, Evelyn, of Whiteford, MD and Timothy Allan Blades and wife, Karen, of Street; brother, Robert H. Meister of Cumberland, MD; grandchildren, Julie Blades of Hickory, MD, Shannon Blades and husband, Martin Manuel, of Austin, TX, and Stephanie Blades of Baltimore, MD; and great-grandchildren, Cecil Ray Mooney Jr., Matthew Jonathan Mooney, Gavin Andrew Allen, Jaidyn Michael Walters, and Devynn Brown. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by ten siblings.
