Steven Burke Sell

Steven Burke Sell, age 75, of Joppa, MD, died on December 8, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Roaring Spring, PA, he was the son of the late Brice Sell and Hester Burke Phillips. He retired, after 45 years, from Commercial Credit Health and Life Insurance where he was Vice President. A member of Grace United Methodist Church, he also belonged to Blenheim Odd Fellows Lodge #102 and Salem Encampment #13. An avid hunter and drawer, he was also very active in the Boy Scouts for many years.

Mr. Sell is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shirley Lee Thomas Sell of Joppa, MD; son, Steven M. Sell and wife, Maria, of Parkville, MD; daughters, Gloria Karen Airey of Baltimore, MD and Jeana N. Talbot and husband, Charles, of Perryville, MD; sister, Eleanir Barbagalao and husband, Sebastin, of Dundalk, MD; six grandchildren, Jennifer Airey of Baltimore, MD, Gina Scoggins of Lewes, DE, Amber Hignutt of St. Petersburg, FL, Heather Sell of Glen Burnie, MD, Brittany Sell of Parkville, MD, and Natalie Talbot of Perryville, MD; and three great-grandchildren, Lucas Peck of Glen Burnie, MD, Madison Reid of Lewes, DE, and Isiah Carter of Glen Burnie, MD.
