Steven Edward Behymer Sr, age 60, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away January 27th, 2021 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace. Born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, he was the son of the Late William and Aranka (Moss) Behymer and his wife Deborah (Testerman) Behymer.
In addition to his loving wife, Deborah (Testerman) Behymer, he is survived by: Betty Testerman, mother-in-law and the late father-in-law Robert Testerman; sister Patti Gamatoria and husband Steven Gamatoria, their son Steven Gamatoria; son Bryce Behymer and wife Rachel, and their two children, Hayden and Ella; son Justin Wingate and fiancée Kimberly Phillips, grandfather to Justin’s two children Payton and Nathan; son Steven E Behymer Jr; two step-children Robert Lloyd and Angela Berry with husband William Berry. He also had five step grandchildren: Kayla, Kyle, Conner, Kendall and Dakota, and great granddaughter Arabella; sister-in-law Pamela (Testerman) Leidlich and brother-in-law Greg Testerman.
Steve was a 50-year member of the American Legion Post 128 in Aberdeen. He was also member and heckler in his wife’s Raven Nest #26, which raised money for Veterans. He retired from York Building Supply after 28 years and the past 10 years has worked for Frito Lay in Aberdeen. Steve was a man that loved his job, his coworkers and staff.
He enjoyed life to the fullest with his 80’s music and crazy sense of humor, Steve never knew a stranger, always had a smile and a joke. He loved building fires in the “Diva’s Den”, sitting and watching it for hours. Steve, you will be missed by family and friends. You fly high my husband and one day we will all be together again.
Contributions can be made to the Cancer Society in Harford County. Due to Covid-19 a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
