Steve Waring

March 22, 1967 — June 6, 2024

Steve Waring, age 57, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on June 6, 2024. Born in Maryland, he was the son of Linda Lee (Mallery) Waring and the late Charles Waring. He was the beloved husband of Heidi (Koenig) Waring and father of Shayna Dawson and Kayla (Waring) Moran (husband Billy).

Steve leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories. Known for his reliability, upbeat nature, and optimism, Steve was the go-to person for everyone. He took charge of situations, stayed on top of everything, and was admired by all who knew him. His constant communication and check-ins made him a cherished presence in many lives.

Working most recently for St. John Properties, Steve was a jack-of-all-trades, and his craftsmanship can be seen throughout many family and friends’ homes. He had a deep fondness for his 2001 Corvette, and was an active member of the Bel Air Corvette Club for many years. His car can be found surrounded by a vast collection of beer cans, a hobby he started as a teenager, and records, most notably AC/DC.

Most importantly, Steve loved spending time with his family. He loved taking selfies to document special occasions, most of which were marked by his daughter’s “chocolate cake,” a layered yellow cake with chocolate icing that he always requested.

Steve’s summers were often spent with family, enjoying crabs, watching the Baltimore Orioles and vacationing at the beach. His winter vacations were always spent in Utah with family, as he was an avid skier and amazing to watch on the slopes. During the fall Steve spent most of his Sundays cheering on the Baltimore Ravens either at the stadium or from the comfort of his home.

In addition to his wife, mother, and daughters, Steve is survived by his four grandsons, Noah, Will, Cameron, and Liam; and sister, Lisa Williams (husband Randy). He is also survived by countless loving extended family members and friends who were like family.

In addition to his father, his brothers, Mark Waring and Chris Waring, preceded him in death.
