Steve Matasovsky

Steve Matasovsky, age 87, died on January 3, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Slovensky Zipov, Czechoslovakia, he was the son of the late Stefan and Terezia Hric Matasovsky, and husband of the late Loretta Mae Matasovsky, who he married in 1947. A resident of Harford County since 1940, he lived nearly six decades in the community of Long Bar Harbor. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during WWII while stationed in the Pacific. He worked for Bata Shoe Company for 47 years and enjoyed spending time with a retired group of Veterans and friends at McDonalds. He also loved to work outside, especially in his garden.

Mr. Matasovsky is survived by his daughter, Penelope R. Ekey and husband, William, of Abingdon, MD; and one granddaughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Ekey of Columbia, MD.
