Stephen Michael Hollie, age 74, of Edgewood, MD passed away on June 22, 2018 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John and Mary "Mabel" (Reece) Hollie. He was a member of Harford County Citizens Patrol Academy Auxiliary Association in addition to being a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic minister.
He was married for 51 years. In 2007, he retired from the Baltimore City Police Department after 39 years of service. He enjoyed playing BINGO, the lottery, and Yahtzee. He also enjoyed teasing occupational and physical therapists that came to the house. Additionally, he enjoyed watching sports, especially the Orioles and Ravens.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Ann Hollie; three children, Karen (Jeffrey) A. Henrichs, Stephen (Christina) M. Hollie Jr., and Eric Murphy; sister, Faye Heier; seven grandchildren, Hollie (Matt) A. Nye, Jeffrey Henrichs Jr., Jimmy Henrichs, Catherine V. Hollie, Stephen Hollie III, Elizabeth Hollie and Rebecca Hollie; two great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, James A. Hollie and Mark John Hollie; and six siblings.
Visitation will be held under the caring guidance of the family owned and operated McComas Funeral Home, Abingdon, MD on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, 6- 8pm. Services will be held on Thursday, June 28 at 11am at the St. Stephen Catholic Church, Bradshaw, MD, with Rev. Paul J. Breczinski officiating.
