Stella Johnston

STELLA JOHNSTON, age 79, of Abingdon, MD, died on April 2, 2006 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Born and raised in Bell Island, Newfoundland, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Caroline Parsons, and the wife for 42 years of the late Glen David Johnston. She was a homemaker who lived in the United States for over 50 years, and enjoyed cooking, bingo and card playing.

Mrs. Johnston is survived by three daughters, Glenda Carol Hammell of Abingdon, MD, Emily Ann Burkhart of Las Vegas, NV and Paula Charlene Trent of Middle River, MD; one brother, Hayward Parsons of CBS, Newfoundland, Canada, two sisters, Pearl Parsons of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada and Doris Rideout of Kitchner, Ontario, Canada; 7 grandchildren, Roxanne S. Shoenfelt of Kettering, OH, Thomas C. Fixler, Jr. of Wadsworth, OH, Brent D. Miracle of Joppa, MD, Timothy C. Vajas of Wellington, OH, Steven P. Bougher of Barberton, OH, Ryan M. Vajas of Wellington, OH and Shannon M. Bougher of Toledo, OH; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Emily Beckford Parsons and Effy Parsons.
