Stella Carol Matthews

Stella C. Matthews, age 72, passed away in her home in Noblesville, IN, on July 25, 2012. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, family member and friend.

Stella was born on September 30, 1939 to the late Stanley and Peggy Vingsen in Forty Fort, PA, and she grew up, married, and raised her family in Maryland. Stella worked at the Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Grounds as an administrative secretary and she retired in 1999 after 25 years of service. In 2000, she moved to Noblesville, IN.

She is survived by her husband, Charles B. Matthews; son, Michael (Kim), of Noblesville, IN; grandson, Nicholas, of Noblesville, IN; brother, Frank Vingsen of Kingsville, MD, brother, John VIngsen of Sumpter, SC; sister, Ann Korns of Middle River, MD; brother, Stanley VIngsen Jr. of Middle River, MD; and nieces and nephews, Julie, Christine, Kelly; and Craig.
