Stanley Rovine

July 11, 1942 — January 6, 2025

Stanley Rovine, age 82, of Port Deposit, Maryland, passed away on January 6, 2025, at Forest Hill Heights in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Norman and Estelle (Bloom) Rovine and the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Wetzel) Rovine.

Stanley was a devoted member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, where he was actively involved in the Knights of Columbus. He retired in 2017 from Thompson Automotive, where he worked as a shuttle driver, following a career in medical sales and as a respiratory therapist at Union Memorial Hospital.

Known for his kind and giving nature, Stanley loved helping people and spending time with his family. He found joy in walking, reading, fishing, and exploring local history. An avid sailor, he cherished the experience of learning to sail with his son. He also enjoyed target shooting and being surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors.

Stanley is survived by his only son, Timothy Joseph Rovine and his daughter-in-law, Michelle Lynn Rovine; grandson, Matthew Blair Rovine; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Rovine; and sister, Stacey Murphy. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eileen Wyler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to support research for Alzheimer’s disease or Parkinson’s disease, causes that were close to his heart.
