Stanley Mitchell Thomas

STANLEY MITCHELL THOMAS, age 87, of Bel Air, MD, died on July 19, 2007 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Edward and Josephine Litzsinger Thomas and husband of the late Dorothy Thomson Thomas. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country from 1941 to 1945. He worked for Scott McLean Pontiac in Bel Air and after his retirement, Mitch enjoyed growing produce in his garden which filled his roadside stand. He enjoyed crabbing, fishing, boating, and playing games with his family. He also enjoyed playing bridge with friends at each others homes.

Mr. Thomas is survived by two daughters, Deborah T. Weinreich of Princess Anne, MD and Susan M. Yeagley of Lititz, PA; one sister, Mary Taylor of Media, PA; and two grandchildren, Michele Swoope of Lancaster, PA and Mary Yeagley of Manassas, VA. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Dewey Thomas and Edward Thomas.
