STANLEY L. KING, age 74, of Abingdon, MD, formerly of Adelphi, MD, died in Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Belcamp, MD on December 8, 2003. Born in Washington, D.C. he was the son of the late Cones and Evelyn King and the husband of the late Elsie L. King. He had retired after 20 years of service as a fireman in Washington, D.C. A member of the Touchdown Club in Washington, D.C., he had graduated from Coolidge High School in 1944. He was a former Red Sox minor league baseball player. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, and boater.
Mr. King is survived by two sons, Stanley L. King, II of Abingdon, MD; Ronald C. King of Ocean City, MD; one grandchild, Taylor L. King of Abingdon, MD.
