Stanley H. Thomas, age 84, of Havre de Grace, MD, went to meet his Lord, Jesus, on December 23, 2012 at Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Home in Havre de Grace. Born in Mt. Clinton, Rockingham, VA, he was the son of the late Howard W. Thomas and Agnes Steele Thomas. Was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving our country during WWII. He was employed by Hamiltion Watch Company of Lancaster, PA, and retired as a State Prison Correctional Officer in Baltimore, MD. Was a member of the VFW & NRA; enjoyed Blue Grass music, walking, wildlife/bird watching, and loved the companionship of dogs.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife of 52 years, Edith C. Hershey-Thomas; two sisters, Mary Belle Thomas-Schauer of Lancaster, PA and A. June Thomas-Weidman of Conestoga, PA; sister-in-law, Shelva Kreider-Thomas; and many Nieces & Nephews; great and great, great Nieces and Nephews which whom many called by his favorite nickname "Uncle Pete". In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Marvin, George and Albert Thomas; sister, Helen Thomas-Riner; and brother-in-laws, Wilbert E. Schauer, and Richard Weidman.
