Stanley E. Standiford, Jr.

Stanley E. Standiford Jr., 89, passed away on March 6, 2015 at Caraway Manor Assisted Living in Elkton, MD. Born in Edgewood, he was the son of the late Stanley Elmer Standiford Sr. and Georgia Mayfiel Cage Standiford. Raised in Edgewood, he moved to Cecil County and farmed for almost forty years. He loved being outdoors in his garden and often joked his favorite flower was a tomato. He enjoyed woodworking, country and bluegrass music, sharing his garden's vegetables, and giving poinsettias at Christmas.

Mr. Standiford is survived by his sons: Bill Standiford and wife Deb of Port Deposit; Richard S. Standiford and wife Connie of Edgewood; and daughter Susan K. Wooten of Seminole, FL; plus 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John M. Standiford and sister, Dorothy M. Standiford.
